Thousands of Young Lives Impacted
The Wisconsin Lutheran High School Foundation was incorporated in April of 2001. Ever since then, as a result of gifts received through wills or trusts or as a transfer-on-death beneficiary, the WLHS Foundation has enabled thousands of students to attend Wisconsin Lutheran High School. As a result, countless young lives have been touched and changed by God’s Word. Hundreds of families have been helped. And most importantly, futures have been shaped for now, and especially, for eternity!
Here is just one of the many notes that we've received from families that express great appreciation for donors just like you:
In these unprecedented economic times, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the many people that help provide financial aid for the students of WLHS.
There were many discussions between my wife and me on whether we could continue to send our children to WLHS. Many prayers later and trusting in the gracious promises of our loving Lord and Savior, our prayers were answered with a most generous financial aid package from the WLHS Foundation. I hope the donors of this gift realize how much this helps families like mine.
Speaking for my family, I am amazed at how much our children have grown, socially, intellectually, academically, and spiritually at WLHS. Our oldest child, who two years ago we would have never thought would ever have any interest in teaching in a Christian setting, is going on a mission trip to teach children in Santiago, Chile. My wife and I are almost speechless! Our other child has told us that her favorite class is Christian Health and Wellness.
In the future, when my children are grown, I hope to be one of your donors so that other families like mine can rest easy on the decision to send their children to WLHS. Please make sure that your donors get this message. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
–A grateful WLHS parent
Even though the WLHS Foundation has only been in existence for just over a decade, God has blessed the Foundation’s work and purpose in incredible ways:
Foundation Assets Have More Than Tripled
In 2001 the assets of the Foundation totaled $4.2 million. In 2018, the Foundation’s assets more than tripled to $13.9 million.
Annual Distribution Has Almost Doubled
In 2001 the annual distribution of the Foundation to Wisconsin Lutheran High School totaled $225,000. For the 2018-19 school year, the Foundation’s annual distribution increased to $459,334.
Number of Family Scholarships Have Increased by Tenfold
In 2001 there were two family scholarships being managed by the Foundation. Today the Foundation is managing 67 (and growing) family scholarships that generate more than $600,000 in tuition assistance and scholarships for students of WLHS annually.
